Why Shield?


   Many external elements including radiation, interference, ESD, EMF and magnetic gauss constantly bombard your delicate pre-amp and signal processing pathways from other surrounding electrical components. Shielding is becoming an increasing issue with newer technologies employing DSP processing units. 

   While the main concern with older Class A amps was heat; new Class D amplifiers pose a new problem with high sensitivity to in-bound and out-bound radiation. DSP's and antenna inducting PCB boards can be severe culprits with emission issues including new computer interfaces, gaming systems & PVR equipment. 

    Many equipment manufacturers are pleased to mention "low radiation" or "low emission" designs... We are always concerned with how low the radiation actually is and what are the concerns with manufacturers without statements. 

    Frequency modulation through induction and radiation can cause undesired interference... and is quite audible dependant on injection strength, frequency and susceptibility of other equipment.
